She currently works as Communications & Development Intern for 826 MSP, a nonprofit that seeks to amplify the voices of underserved Twin Cities youth through creative writing programs. An aspiring poet and artist, Laura is a two-time winner of the Lawrence Owens Prize for Poetry (2020 & 2021) and will be attending Hamline University's M.F.A in Creative Writing Program this fall.
